gluten free cookies and basal metabolic rate

Trying new things and experimenting with recipes is fun! I made gluten free "oreos" for my daughter and she said "MMMMM" so they must be OK! They were time consuming but worth the effort to hear her say mmmm! Really was making the chocolate cookies to use as the crust for a cheesecake....it was ok but I will use a different cheesecake filling recipe next time. The "oreos" and the cheesecake are not part of my (re)discovering slim protocol!! They are part of the experimental cooking for tasty gluten free foods!

Starting the (re)discovering slim class is taking longer then I anticipated.....looking for a room to use for the participants! Hope to have a room in the next couple of weeks and then can start the classes so everyone can accomplish their goals!

A quick way for women to figure your basal metabolic rate (calories burned to sustain life) without elaborate scientific equipment is to use the following calculation*:

Step 1: Multiply your weight by 4.4
Step 2: Multiply your height by 4.7
Step 3: Add answers from step 1 & 2
Step 4; Multiply your age by 4.7
Step 5: subtract step 4 from step 3
step 6: Add 655 to the answer from step 5

this will give you a starting point for calories ingested and weight loss
*Harris-Benedict formula from Tufts University 1998

You might be surprised at the number of calories you are currently ingesting!

Ready...set...begin............accountability to yourself...take the next step!!

I am excited that the 28 day program includes menus, a journal, recipes, shopping lists , 4-3-2-1 exercise program and all that I need to make the changes I need "begin" is not just a word it is an action verb. BBFB (Begin Be Fit Believe) The pedometer is in place and the steps are being counted. Did you know there is an easy way to calculate an estimate for your Basal Metabolic Rate (general calories burned each day to sustain life)? If you want more info, respond and I can give you the formula. A great way to "Begin"
